
Forbes Magazine has announced which 10 cities are poised to rebound from the recession and which 10 should brace for a sluggish recovery.
You might be wondering what criteria they used to choose these cities. Forbes examined data from several sources and looked at the city's projected gross domestic product, unemployment rates, home prices, incomes and affordability data.
The Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue area was named one of the top 10 cities likely to bounce back based on our strong technology capabilities. Forbes even said that our area could see recovery in coming months.
Overall, many economists expect the national economy to return to growth later in 2009, perhaps as soon as this summer.
