Pioneer Square is the Place to Be

Seattle's historic Pioneer Square neighborhood was recently described by Stacey Solie in an article for the Seattle Times as a "Lively mix of historical, edgy". Which we find to be such an accurate assessment of the area.

It is a place that has a little bit of everything. Two new stadiums for the Mariners and the Seahawks that often host sell out crowds, proximity to Downtown and the waterfront, and the cranes at the Port. Where else can you find skyscrapers next to historic brick buildings? Pubs, nightclubs, art galleries, cafes and coffee shops are some of the pluses you will experience there. "The benefit of living in Pioneer Square is its unique artsy ambience, with kitchy stores for tourists next to high-end galleries across from raucous nightclubs" says Stacey. It is truly unique.

With so much to offer, it is a great place to call home. The Smith Tower, a 93 year old Seattle landmark, has recently been reclaimed by the Historic Preservation Board and will soon be converted into condos making it the newest addition to the housing options. Other converted warehouses to condos include The Florentine, The Nord, and 97 South Jackson, among others.

If you are thinking about moving into the urban core or are just wanting to experience city life, don't forget about Pioneer Square.
