The Bravern Condominium/Mixed use project in Bellevue may have just made the best deal of their lives.
The development of the Bravern has gone through a couple changes recently, changing from a hotel/condo project, to, as of now, a project that boasts a superstar retail core, including possibilities of Neimam Marcus, Prada, and Louis Vuitton. This makes the Bravern a huge player in the development of Bellevue's luxury retail market, as well as aiding in the city's growing population and density.
Four more big projects are being planned within blocks of Bellevue Square including a 10.5 acre superblock along northeast 8th street (Washington Square). These projects are setting the standard for Bellevue as a growing city and to accomodate rising urban density. The developers see Bellevue, unlike Seattle's historic label, as a "blank slate" and both cities are complementing each other's booms nicely.
The new plan for the Bravern is to create an open second floor plaza with a huge entryway courtyard leading into the retail area. There will be glass everywhere in the development to maximize natural light, as well as charming walkways lined by gardens.
This will certainly be a project to keep you eye on as it develops.
