Housing Starts and Construction Permits Are Up in the West

According to an article in the Puget Sound Business Journal, housing starts in January are up 8.9% in the Western States, which of course includes us here in Washington. And housing construction permits also rose in the West up from December by 8.5% and year over year up 20.7%.

Nationwide, single-family and multifamily housing starts are up but new-home permits were down 4.9% from December but did rise 16.9% from last year in January.
