Bank of America acquired Countrywide Financial this week making BofA the largest mortgage lender in the nation. BofA has announced that it will continue to use Countrywide's operating platform, technology and management expertise. Countrywide benefits from a stable and sustainable flow of capital and liquidity. BofA will operate Countrywide separately under the Countrywide brand, with a full integration planned for sometime after 2009.
